To launch their new Spring/Summer 2018 line, Superdry wanted to show off their new collection somewhere quintessentially British, while maintaining their Cheltenham routes. Sudeley Castle, on the outskirts of Cheltenham soon found Superdry taking up residence for the evening to open their international summer conference. Sudeley, was once home to Henry VIII’s final and surviving wife, Catherine Parr who now rests in the chapel.
Working in such an historic location meant a whole new host of challenges, so liaising closely with the venue at all times was essential. Considerations such as the protection of 200-year-old yew trees, the decibel level appropriate so as not to damage the glass within the original windows, down to how to install 30m marquee in a part of the garden that could only be accessed via a moat.
Full kitchen and bar facilities installed, The mosaic courtyard was ready to welcome guests on arrival. From here, our expert team of chefs set to work on a high-end BBQ, alongside our mixologists passionate for combining elixirs and creating extraordinary refreshing summer cocktails, to continue the British Summer theme.
Weather on side we were rewarded with gorgeous sunshine and rolling green pastures. The catwalk became part of the gardens with open sides, utilising the beautiful surroundings, and backdrop of Sudeley Castle – the results spoke for itself.
To continue the Cheltenham theme, we decamped to The Centur, at the Racecourse. Mock shops, showcasing the catwalks latest fashions, were in place for buyers and stockists to take a look and imagine how these garments might look in their stores.
