To finish a spectacular year, we’ve just spent a week at Brick Lane’s Old Truman Brewery in London for the launch of Superdry’s AW18 collection.
We worked closely with Superdry to design the layout of the venue, creating unique spaces for a catwalk, coffee & presentations, individual women’s and men’s mock shops and additional sportswear and snow areas.
Our challenge was to convert The Brewery’s vintage white walls and industrial concrete floors into a creative presentation space. A highlight of which, was the traditional snow lodge themed room, to host the guest’s catering & social area. Our in house workshop built free-standing wood cladding and designed antique distressed furniture to enhance the luxurious soft furnishings, cool framed photos and antler fixings.
The guests entered through a walkway of snowy Norwegian spruce trees lit with icy blue lighting to invoke a sense of a crisp cold night, reaching the snow lodge with the smell of spicy Glühwein or Mulled Cider from crystal glasses. Guests were then served piles of hearty food to continue the cozy winter theme.
As the venue was a dry hire, we approached this as full production event, designing the sound, lighting and visuals for the show. A model area was also created behind the catwalk, with space for dressing, make-up and hair, allowing easy access to and from Superdry’s impressive catwalk. This was lit with an explosion of colours and sound to officially launch the Autumn / Winter 2018 collection.
