Wychwood add Boney M as their Friday Night Headliner, plus The Undertones.

Wychwood say:
“We are pleased to announce our Friday night headliner at Wychwood, the wonderful Boney M. One of the greatest party bands to emerge from the 1970s, their hits include pop classics such as Daddy Cool, Rasputin, Rivers of Babylon, Mary’s Boy Child – Oh My Lord, Hooray! Hooray! It’s a Holi-Holiday, Sunny, Ma Baker and many more. The group celebrate their 40th birthday this year and and are still a fantastic live spectacle. We can’t wait to party with them on Friday night at Wychwood. Don’t forget we already have great Saturday and Sunday headliners in the shape of UB40-Ali Campbell, Astro & Mickey Virtue Reunited and Ladysmith Black Mambazo”

“Joining Boney M on the Friday bill will be punk legends The Undertones. The band burst on to the scene in 1978 with the seminal anthem Teenage Kicks. The legendary DJ John Peel loved the record so much he famously played it twice in a row on his radio show! The band crafted further punkpop gems such as Here Comes The Summer, Jimmy Jimmy, My Perfect Cousin and You’ve Got My Number (Why Don’t You Use It). The Undertones continue to maintain their scorching live reputation with festivals performances and club shows around the globe.”
