On this week’s blog, we are delighted to be able to write about one of our first post-lockdown projects.
A far-cry away from last winter’s ‘Christmas Tavern’ project, this summer we have been tasked with helping The Bird in Bath to launch Popinjays, the hotel’s brand new outdoor summer terrace for food and drink, with south-facing views across the city.
Within our brief, we were asked to transform the space into a ‘colourful, flamboyant, and quintessentially British’ paradise for friends and family to enjoy some fun in the sun.
To do this, we dressed the space with large, bright-coloured tassels which were suspended from height around the venue. We also created a collection of vibrant bunting, fringing and macrame hangings which were used across the many socially-distanced seating areas in the garden, as well as at the bar, hoping to make the area feel like a vivacious garden party.
Popinjays is open now, until mid-September, and bookings can be made on The Bird’s website.
