End of the Road Festival enjoys 7th year

Falling near the end of the traditional Summer festival season, the 7th outing of End of the Road Festival was incredibly lucky to avoid the seasons bad weather that blighted most other Festivals.
A wet build period placed strain on the production team and site crew, but with hourly met office reports a decision was taken to bring forward the start of the build by 24 hours to get a head start into what was a torrential weekends weather. The remainder of the build was also wet and drizzly, and a decision was made to suspend contractor operations for a day to preserve the ground. Enacting a wet weather contingency plan that involves closing the site for a period is never a popular move with contractors, but one that was necessary for this event.
The weekend of the Festival saw fair weather which was a welcome relief from the build, so there were relatively few issues to deal with. Even our noise reducing efforts seemed to be working!
